Loadpoint Precision Engineering was founded just over 20 years ago with the aim of creating a series of essential services for precision engineering in Dorset. In that time, technology has developed rapidly, and we have developed alongside it. As a result, we now offer a range of state of the art technologies alongside more traditional manufacturing processes to help with the creation of a prototype or concept design to complete proof of concept, small scale production and full contractual manufacturing.

Computer aided design

At the heart of what we do is the advanced CAD/CAM computer aided design software that we use. This allows us to use equipment such as 3D printing and even 3D milling to a degree of accuracy that the human eye and hand cannot manage. We can help create a design or prototype to the specifications you have, even reverse engineering from existing components to create something new.

Once we have the design in place, we can then look at small scale production to help make it a reality. This is an ideal testing environment to check the reality of the processes and the viability of the design.

Extensive precision engineering services

Our services also go beyond just the design stage of things. We have a range of simple and complex machinery including Simultaneous 3 Axis and 4 Axis milling, mill turn lathe and solid modelling. We have a range of grinding equipment as well including centreless grinding, centred grinding, honing and horizontal grinding. This means that whatever components you require to be manufactured, we can help.
