Prototype design engineering
When you have an idea, it is an amazing thing, but it can be difficult to know whether it can become a reality. The best way to do this is to undertaken prototype design and small scale production. This allows you to see the concept as a reality, look for problems and issues and also to see how the production process will work. If you are in the Dorset area, Loadpoint Precision Engineering is here to work with you to get your idea through this process.
Prototype Design and Proof of Concept
- Prototype design for proof of concept
- Work through the idea and make it a reality
- 3D printing to create those prototypes
- Small scale production to see it in action
- Large scale production also available
Prototype computerised design
The start of the process to create proof of concept is to used computer-aided design to create the component virtually. Here we can accept 3d scanned designs of existing components and reverse engineering to take what you have and adapt it for the new process. Or we can help you create something entirely new, completely different to what you already have if this better suits the project.
We also offer 3D printing which is the next step in prototype design. This most modern of production method allows the component to be created and checked, measured and assessed. When we are happy with it and it does what you aim for, then we can move to the next stage.
Small scale production
The next step is to enter small scale production. This is where a limited number of the prototypes are created following the processes that would be used for large scale production. It allows the process to find any issues or highlight problems that might occur and for changes to be made before larger numbers are created. It is also an ideal time to showcase the concept to potential clients with the products made from the small scale production
